Sustainability Lunch & Learn #6 – Advancing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Broadcasting

The topic: In this session we will explore the significance of equality, diversity, and inclusion within the broadcasting industry. We’ll hear about Learning Waves and the independent radio sectors’ progress on this topic, gain a deeper understanding of the benefits of fostering an inclusive work environment and learn strategies to promote equality and diversity and inclusion within an organisation.
The speaker: Teresa Hanratty is a Project Manager with Learning Waves where she oversees many of the organisation’s training programmes to support the independent radio sector. Recently, she has led the development of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) leadership programme which has involved creating a network of EDI champions across the sector, developing and delivering an EDI training programme, and creating a new EDI toolkit (launching September 2023).
